2. Which part of peer tutoring do you enjoy the most?

3. For what kind of help do you get asked the most?

4. What do you feel most comfortable helping students with?

5. What is your policy on "wait time"? How long do you wait for a student to answer a question (without answering for him/her)?

6. What is your policy on using Arabic language? How do you decide which language to use?

7. In which area would you like more training?

8. Do you have any suggestions to improve our Writing Center?

Thank you very much for your time!

Q1) In my point of view, being freindly to others is the beginning of peer tutering journey

Q2) the excitment increases when a student comes to me and says he have IELTS or other things like projects and homeworks that is due 2 days.. then, i have to work with "Full Power" to cover all subjects need by the students.

Q3) The most coomon subject is how to do projects for all levels of English.

Q4) When helping a stuident with projects is most preffered by me.

Q5) The waiting time differs from one stuents to another and that can be determined by many things like: the level in which the student is enrolled. But no more that 30 seconds for all levels.

Q6) Choosing the approperiate language depend on the student's level. That is, we mostly speak in Arabic to students in levels 1 and 2.

Q7) Since some of the subjects change.. I see that there should be training on the new subjects and reminding us with old ones.

Q8) There have been many improvements since opening it in the new location... So, till now, its all going very well

Those were my own responds to the questions asked...

1. I believe that the most important aspect of a successful peer tutor is to trust himself in order to do his best; otherwise he is going to have bad results.
2. The most part I enjoy during my work is to do some task in groups in so that the largest number of students can get benefits.
3. I have been asked the most about writing a report for a chart (any kind).
4. The most comfortable thing is to help some students on an exercise I have done before.
5. My policy that I wait till I figure out that the student is completely unable to answer, then I will begin o give him hints, of course this must not take than 1 or 2 minutes.
6. For using the language, as standard I begin in English until I notice that the student is not following me or if he asked me to explain in Arabic, then, I begin to use Arabic.
7. I prefer to give us some kinds of upgrading when any new materials added to any English or Arabic levels, in order to be up to date.
8. I suggest increasing our salaries.

1. Being cheerful always works as it makes the student feel comfortable

2. I really enjoy it when I'm working with a group of students and feel they have all benefitted well from it and that I got the best out of them

3. It's usually help on IELTS as it is the exam required by the University.

4. Help with the IELTS Type 1 and 2 writing as I have attended many workshops about that.

5. If it is the first time I work with the student then I try not to wait too long as this might make students feel it’s an exam, but if I'm familiar with the student’s level I usually wait for a while.

6. It’s up to the student and which language he prefers, but anyway I usually try to express what I want in both English and Arabic.

7. Being updated with the latest curriculum changes is always great.

8. During our first year we have made clear progress, hopefully much more will come with time. I suggest that this question is asked to the students themselves this way we will get some useful feedback. Inflation should be taken into consideration in terms of salaries to get the best out of the tutors :)
